Sterilization
There are three categories of instruments that need sterilization. In the first category are the critical instruments: Scalpels, forceps, bone chisels, surgical burs and scalers. The second category is the middle critical instruments: Mirrors, amalgam condensers and reusable impression. And the last category are the non-critical instruments: X-ray heads, pulse oximetry and blood pressure cuffs. All instruments from the first and second category have to be sterilized after every use. Sterilization is mostly recommended for high-speed and low-speed handpieces that are using intraorally and reusable prophylaxis angles. The most commonly used sterilization methods are with Steam(Autoclave), Dry heat and Unsaturated chemical vapor. There are no products matching the selection
